The Final Authority

Watch the full teaching here

March 3, 2019  //  This is part one of a seven-part teaching series that examines the difference between Evangelical theology that is based upon God’s truth verses Progressive theology that is based upon society's lies.  This teaching, looks at the theological concept of “authority” and its origin.  For Evangelical theology, the final authority for matters of faith is the Bible.  However, for Progressive theology, the final authority is within each individual, and each individual has the right to pick and choose what parts of Scripture are important.  Personal experience can alter and change the meaning of Scripture.  This “lie” turns each person into their own “god.”  It is the single-greatest form of idolatry in Progressive pastors today.   When we attribute final authority to the Bible, and He who inspired it, we place Jesus above our own motives and desires.  2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 14:6
