Stay Awake, Stay Focused, Drive Hard

September 16, 2018  //  This is part two of a six-part teaching series on the early Church.  Located in Asia Minor, Sardis was the richest, most fertile, and most pagan area in all of the Roman Empire, yet there was a fast-growing church planted there. The message of holiness and righteousness would have been the exact opposite of what the pagan religion taught.  Although the church successfully grew in this rich place, Jesus warned it against complacency. Today, we are at the epicenter of Wright County, we live in the richest and most powerful country in the world, and we are surrounded by a secular society with many people living like pagans.  Christ has placed us right where He needs us.  We have to proactively reach out and battle society's pagan beliefs with the truth of Christ. Revelation 3:1-6; Matthew 5:14; Matthew 28:16-20
