Grace That Saves

OCTOBER 4, 2015 // This is part four of a six-part teaching series on the Wesleyan view of G.R.A.C.E. (God’s Riches at Christ’s Expense) that examines “justifying” grace. The point in time when we accept Christ and are made anew is called justification. We are cleansed and covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and made holy and righteous so that we can stand in front of the Father for all eternity. To be a “kinsman redeemer,” Christ had to come as a human in order for His death to be “eligible” to pay the price for our redemption. Not only does God restore our relationship with Him, but He also restores our relationship with people. He is the judge that convicts, and then pays the fine. John 3:16, Matthew 11:28, Romans 3:21-25; Ephesians 2:8; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20.
