SEPTEMBER 20, 2015 // This is part two of a six-part teaching series on the Wesleyan view of G.R.A.C.E. (God’s Riches at Christ’s Expense) that looks at prevenient grace. “Prevenient” comes from the Latin “praevenire,” meaning “to come before.” Prevenient grace reaches out to every person, allows us to do good, smile, and love; it draws all people to the pureness of Christ’s goodness and love. Due to our fallen nature, we have a hole in us that will only be filled by accepting Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Revelation 22:17.
