Showing Joy

Watch the full service here

May 24, 2020 // This teaching series is based upon the second Greatest Commandment to love others and share the Gospel with them in both truth and love. This teaching explores the inexplicable joy that comes from God. Finding joy in God may or may not be easy to do, depending on the type of soil we are (Matthew 13), our personality type, the culture in which we grew up, our heritage, our mental health, how we compare ourselves to others, fear and uncertainty, toxic attitudes, business and stress, hardship, and distance from Christ. To be joyful and to sustain joy, we need to celebrate life, practice gratitude, remember God’s eternal promises, repent and obey God, forgive others, walk in God’s purpose, participate in Christian Community, guard against burnout, and stay connected with Christ. 1 Peter 1:8-9
