Lowered From the Roof

Watch the full teaching here November 17, 2019 // This teaching series explores the miracles of Jesus which come out of human desperation. One of the hardest things in life is to admit that we need help. The man in today's story needed not only help from his friends, but help from Christian friends that knew to bring it to Jesus. Imagine being this sick man and watching your friends carry you to a house, try but fail to get inside, then hoist you up to the roof, destroy the roof by tearing a hole in it, and then being lowered down into the middle of the crowd to face Jesus and ask for help. When we deny others from serving us in our time of need, we deny their gift from God of serving

Healing Leprosy

Watch the full teaching here November 10, 2019 // This teaching series explores the miracles of Jesus which come out of human desperation. Even though someone with leprosy had to have disheveled hair, wear torn clothing, and shout “unclean”, one with boldness and humility came to Jesus for healing, and Jesus touched him! This is a story about healing and restoration; restoration to wholeness, release from shame, and a welcome into the Body of Christ. Remember that everyone, no matter what they have done, should receive help to be restored in the eyes of God and brought back into community – the Body of Christ. Luke 5:12-13 #teaching #TheMiraclesofJesus
