Calming the Storm

Watch the full teaching here October 6, 2019 // This teaching series explores the miracles of Jesus which come out of human desperation. This teaching examines how ancient people viewed the depths of the sea. The depths of the sea was where evil lived, and storms upon the sea were caused by this evil. It was out of desperation that the disciples called upon Jesus to save them. When Jesus calmed the storm, He taught that evil is real, the God who triumphs over evil is with us, and we should not be afraid. Luke 8:22-25 #teaching #TheMiraclesofJesus

Feeding the Five Thousand

Watch the full teaching here September 29, 2019 // This teaching series examines the miracles of Jesus which come out of human desperation. This teaching examines the Miracle of Abundance. God always gives in abundance, but before Jesus can act, we have to admit our desperation in lacking God’s abundance in our lives and know that He will act. This miracle is in all four Gospels. When God repeats Himself, it must be very important. Feeding five thousand people echoes back to Moses and the Passover meal and Elijah and the widow. Foretelling of the Last Supper meal to come, it reminds us not to rely on our own efforts, as we alone will always fall short. God wants to provide abundance
