Judging Others Versus Judging Sin

Watch the full teaching here June 2, 2019 // This is part of a teaching series on the book of Luke that explores his detailed accounts of the life of Jesus. Luke 6:37 ("Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven") is often misinterpreted. We are never to judge whether a person is going to hell, but we are to judge sin. God is very serious about sin. We must humble ourselves and understand that we are a work in progress, but we are also to confront our brothers in sisters who have strayed as they could end up losing their salvation. Luke 6:37, 41-42; Luke 17:3; Matthew 18:15a; 2 Timothy 4:2; Galatians 6:1a;

Deliverance From a Demonic Possession

Watch the full teaching here May 19, 2019 // This is part of a teaching series on the book of Luke that explores his detailed accounts of the life of Jesus. There is a difference between demonic possession and oppression. After Jesus set a man free from demonic possession, Jesus never returned to Capernaum. Yet one of the earliest, largest, and strongest of the early Christian churches was started by the man that was healed. Demons can impact us today, but fortunately Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit, a Person that conquers all demonic influence. Luke 4:31-37 #teaching #TheGospelAccordingtoLuke

The Temptation of Jesus

Watch the full teaching here May 12, 2019 // This is part of a teaching series on the book of Luke that explores his detailed accounts of the life of Jesus. Jesus was tempted by Satan, and being tempted is not a sin. Temptation has no effect on us unless it is something that we want. If we accept the “invitation” it is sinful. There are ways to stop temptation, just like Jesus did. Everyone except Jesus is caught by temptation. To walk temptation free in our life, we need the Holy Spirit, good habits, and a group of loving people to help us through times of temptation. Luke 4:1-13 #teaching #TheGospelAccordingtoLuke
